Charlie Productions : Caroline Stoker
"Old Man Dies" is a monologue but the non-speaking parts are often of an equal importance, especially that of his wife. We first contacted Caroline right at the start when we were making our first shorts, but she was touring with Midsummer Night's Dream and was unavailable to meet us. However there had been something about her that had stuck in our minds and we kept hold of her CV and she was the first person we saw for the part of the wife in "Old Man Dies".
She gives a wonderful performance in this film, conveying more in a single look than most people could manage with a page long speech.
