Charlie Productions : Scenic PainterThe title Scenic Painter always brings up an idea of huge backdrops being painted to look like a real-life location - you have to watch 'Black Narcissus' to see how amazing this art could be back in the day... Whereas these days, surely it's all just green screen, added afterwards by digital artists...? In the main, yes - but that's not what the Scenic Painters are up to. They're painting the plasterboard walls of your sets to make them look like they really are made out of the materials you want the audience to think they are made out of. Not an easy job, one much appreciated even though when it's done well it's never noticed by any audience ever. Charlie Productions believe passionately in doing things and always trying to stop in time for tea.
