There are no words high enough for us to be able to praise the work of Oliver Russell DoP correctly. His eye for framing and lighting is second to none. It is a measure of how much we trust him that Chris - once determined to shoot all our stuff - would rather sit by the camera to watch the actors' performances than watch on the video monitor.
Oli's attitude to life, work and light was one of the main reasons we decided to try him out on Danny's Found Jesus. Dedicated, always the last man standing, usually reduced to a shuffle after everything we've thrown him. But still ready to go if need be. It didn't take long for a great working relationship to develop, and we are now at the point where we can all push our own ideas. Oli had the masterstroke suggestion of putting a jib inside a bathroom for the shot above Danny and Jacqui in Free Speech and that's the shot quite frankly. We can't wait for the world to see his stunning work on Death Of The Revolution...
