Charlie Productions : Crew

On the left you'll see that we've grouped everyone under their job definition, with a small explanation as to what they do.
If you know the name of the crew member you're looking for you
can find them by typing their name into the
search engine. |

Or, if you admire a certain film, you can find full crew lists for all of our work under the 'Films' tab at the top of the screen.

One of the reasons we make films is because of the crew. There are very few
professions in the world that still stick by the idea that having an expert
in every field actually improves the end product. Film is one. A film set to
the outsider looks like a bunch of hikers standing around. But on the set, time
is wasted exponentially with every crew member you try to cut from the payroll.
Having made films with just us doing all the jobs, it's become very
obvious to us that having a crew makes all the difference. In the end, you can
grab a PDwhatever and direct the actors on radio mics, but without a DoP who
can concentrate on the lighting, an operator who can concentrate on the framing,
a grip who can concentrate on the movement, a sound department who can concentrate
on getting clean sound and a gaffer who can make sure we don't all get electrocuted ,
you've simply left yourself far less time to concentrate on directing the actors
and watching what you're actually getting.
Doing everything yourself is a great education but these people do their jobs
day in day out. Of course they can do it better than us, and we're very very
happy that for some reason they keep coming back to help us make whatever nonsense
we've been writing recently. Thanks guys.
