Charlie Productions : Ryan Chandler aka Muffin Man

Sound Recordist:

email Ryan

Ryan Chandler

Ryan is incredibly happy to go to extreme lengths to record just the right sound for us. As we recorded the foley sound for Old Man Dies ready for the final sound mix, we just couldn't get the right sounds for the punches in the boxing hall. The original punches were (mostly) pulled, so they just didn't sound right. Hitting fruit just wasn't doing it for us on this day, either. A watermelon being punched sounded weird, kind of like a watermelon being punched. In the end Ryan stood up and told Chris to punch him in the stomach.

The resultant soundtrack is one of Ben's personal favourites. It is funny. Chris has a good time, Ryan less so. But the sound is perfect. Bizarrely, he's still willing to work for us and just completed a wonderful job on Death Of The Revolution.
