Charlie Productions : Jess SearchI like Ben and Chris, no I really like them a lot so I was very chuffed to get MY OWN PAGE on their site. So I'm going to tell you some stuff about me and show you some photos that make me smile. I am involved in quite a few projects here are some of them: Set this up with best mate Cath in 1998. It's our love child. We are proud of it. Here's a pic of Cath at the London Business School with me as we try to learn how to run Shooters bigger and better.
The Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation I have worked in documentary all my adult life - and just when I thought I should get a proper job, the world decided it liked documentaries and that they were really important and should be in the cinema and everything. I left Channel 4 after 5 years as a doc comm editor in January 2005 and started this ridiculously ambitious project with some very nice people. We want to make sure documentaries are at the very beating heart of British culture.
This is the feature documentary that I exec produced and we got into Sundance in Jan 2005 and is going to be on general release in the US in February 2006. Great film made by a great team and a very exciting adventure for us all. It's the amazingly actually true story of a man called Doug Bruce who lost his entire memory over 2 years ago and has had to start his life all over again. Anyway here's a picture of the sign above the door taken before our first Sundance screening.
You should have heard of him. Have you? The great American director of Gimme Shelter and Salesman and Grey Gardens. Anyway he's a great old dude who wears very distinctive glasses - and he gave me his spare pair - see picture of me and him.
What else - well my dog doesn't have his own website but god knows he should. I have met 2 sets of people who remember him from a dog show in Spitalfields market 4 years ago. Remember him like it was yesterday.. He is clearly a very memorable dog. I feel smug because he is MY dog. But don't hold that against Yuri, who is rarely smug.
