Adam Brown, Ben Blaine and Chris Blaine in a van with a programme of short films, a projector, a screen and a mobile phone. People ring us up, we drive to their house, their pub, their cinema, their university and we show them the films.

To understand what it is, why we do it and what it is trying to achieve you should probably first go and visit Shooting People and get yourself properly acquainted with what they do. For those in too much of a hurry to do that it is hopefully enough to say that is an internet based community of filmmakers which has grown to the point where it reaches about twenty-thousand people daily and helps it's members to make literally thousands of short films, feature films, music videos, documentaries and animations every year.

By 2004 the only major problem was that very few of these films ever got seen. Consequently instead of discussing the work of their peer group the filmmakers who used Shooting People tended to talk just about the same sad parade of Hollywood films that the general media talk about. As a result, whilst we all wanted Shooters to be the hot bed of a revolution in British Cinema it was, instead, rapidly becoming a way for twenty-thousand people to make the same five films over and over again.

Our aim is to take the most inspiring, the most challenging and generally the best films made by the members of the community and to bring them both to an audience of new filmmakers and to a wider public, whom we have found to be desperate to see this sort of work.

We hope to inspire discussion and trigger ideas amongst filmmakers and we hope to delight, entertain and generally please everyone. And in return all we want is a bed for the night...
