We'd just made Free Speech and getting 'comedy' and 'anything goes' just made us stuck - that's exactly what we would have wanted to make. And we'd made it. So instead, inspired by being in Berlin and the May Day celebrations/riots going on all around us, we thought we could make a comedy musical spy thriller...

GIven more time we might have thought of something different. Or thought that maybe we should do the music before shooting everyone singing unaccompanied out on the streets of Berlin. Then again, we might not - in fragile states of mind at the time, a huge helping of Bavarian beer the night before hadn't made our thought processes any easier, and so we came up with probably our strangest film so far...
