Step 1: Sign up to Johnnie Oddball's competition.
Step 2: Pull your film's GENRE out of a hat.

Step 4: Don't sleep for 48 hours...
Johnnie Oddball started this competition because he wanted to encourage film-makers to just go out and make something, to hell with the years of planning we all put in given the chance.
And as it happened, that rather appealed to us. There's nothing like working your film-making brains at full speed trying to make something up over Saturday breakfast, shooting it that afternoon and editing it in time for Monday morning - you won't always come out with perfection, but it will test whatever film-making nous you have, and then some...

And now we've even got involved with running the things ourselves. With the kind good graces of Monsieur Oddball we pushed the idea of doing a 48Hr Challenge to the folks at the fantastic Branchage Film Festival in Jersey. As a consequence, we gathered together a bunch of teams who all journeyed over to the island to compete and to collaborate whilst we all stayed in an all-mod-cons 'Filmmakers Campsite'. It was rather great - and we hope to do the same again soon...
