There isn't much that we have done that we are genuinely ashamed of. Indeed,
whilst not considering it his best work, Ben still stands by the script for
"Good Morning, Who Are You?" which was the first short* he and Chris
ever made. At the time of shooting however, the only film making experience
we had was from making "The Bible According To Charlie" which was a rambling process of adlibing and arguing in long static takes.

1997, 21 mins, DVCAM.
Without even so much as a copy of the Guerrilla Filmmaker's Handbook we set about this unprepared and learnt what not to do the hard way. The end result doesn't really show us off to our best, as you would be able to judge for yourself if you saw it. However, in order to watch this film you'll need to get photographs of us in some pretty compromising situations...
*In this instance we tend to use the term 'short' as opposed
to 'short film' so that we can claim with truth and pride that our first ever
short film was "Crowd
Scene For Exisitentialists" which is lovely. This is, you may notice,
a distinction that we tend not to carry through to our successful digitally
originated short films like "Russell
Square", "Burnt Bernard"
and "Free Speech", but hey, who's counting...
