2000, 7mins, miniDV. Occassionally cruel, sometimes funny and eventually quite touching, this short documentary was screened at Reelscreen.com and Virtuetv.com. Usually we pass this off as fiction to help ease our consciences about taking some personal revelations given in confidence and turning them into entertainment. There is also a degree of doubt about quite how genuine all these stories are, although if any of the participants are lying then they're lying to us, as well as you. Actually most people who watch this tend to complain that it's too far fetched and that some of the performances are rather patchy. No, on second thoughts, none of these things help ease our consciences - this is a naughty bit of film making that is only partly redeemed by the genuine affection we have for all concerned.
